I could have left long ago
left when she smiled
but I marveled at her glow
crumbled when she lied
then the cracks began to show
all frustrations amplified
armors used beyond decor
and words to pierce as none before
I should have thought of letting go
questioned before I cried
but I was fighting against ego
blinded by quarrels built by pride
then love ran out of space to grow
